We conducted the official dedication of the GlenLakes Veterans Memorial. The ceremony was held at the memorial grounds, the event was a "hometown" experience that the GlenLakes community has not seen in a long time! Many residents and outside guests came to help us celebrate this beautiful and welcoming monument that greet all who pass through the GlenLakes gate!

In Honor of the Brave
In fields afar, where battles blaze,
Our brave stood tall, through darkest days.
With courage forged, they marched ahead,
Their sacrifice, no words need said.
They left their homes, their loved ones dear,
To face the unknown, to conquer their fear.
With hearts of valor, they took their stand,
Defending our freedom, throughout the land.
So let us all remember, with our gratitude true,
The brave men and women, who served the red, white, and blue.
For their service and sacrifice, we'll never forget,
In our hearts, their legacy will forever be set.

Let us remember before God, and commend to his sure keeping, those who have died for our country in war and peace; those whom we knew, and those whose memory we treasure, and all who lived and died in the service of our country and mankind.

Message from GLVFA
As our United States Constitution declares, "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" is what veterans throughout American history have fought for. With Old Glory in their hands and in their hearts, "this they defended". In our beautiful community here in GlenLakes, Weeki Wachee, Florida, our own veterans upheld our American way of life through their own sacrifices and service to our nation. Our Veterans Memorial is a tribute to all veterans in our community, a lasting place of honor and tribute.
