GLVFA Supported Programs
Veterans PTSD Programs
This program allows patriots from across the country to make a difference in the lives of local veterans in need. Many of our veterans suffer from PTSD and other life-altering injuries. This program helps area veterans with their PTSD mental and physical rehabilitation which aids in increased confidence, enabling veterans to enjoy an active and healthy lifestyle again. This is accomplished by GLVFA awarding monetary grants, funded by your donations, to local organizations in our area that specialize in assisting veterans with their disabling post traumatic service disabilities resulting from their military service.
Wreathes Across America
Wreaths Across America is a national program that ensures that no interred veteran is forgotten. GLVFA is proud to be a part of this annual program that lays wreathes at our national cemeteries. For GLVFA, we sponsor wreath purchases each year from the Wreathes Across America organization and personally lay the wreathes on gravesites at the Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell, FL In 2024, we will be assisted by the Florida chapter of Rolling Thunder who will escort our GLVFA volunteers to the Florida National Cemetery and assist with wreath laying.
