Senior Helpers is the premier provider of in-home senior care across the country. They believe in supporting seniors to “age-in-place” without need to leave home to live better. Senior Helpers supports seniors with a wide range of services from companion support to assistance with daily activities to helping those with chronic diseases.

Our speaker, Cindy Rauf, Community Partner Director of Senior Helpers, will share with you how veterans can apply and qualify for this assistance by using the VA’s Aid and Attendance Benefit which can help pay for the care. The service is not based on income.

This is a good meeting to attend with valuable information to be learned for use now or in the future.  Please encourage your spouse to attend with you.  Remember, 9AM after the usual free coffee and donuts in the GlenLakes clubhouse.

We're also collecting paper towels, toilet paper, and toothpaste for Veterans Depot, responding to their recent urgent request. Please help!

Army combat veteran, Samantha Vrbancic, will be with us to relate how the Warrior Wellness organization helped her rebuild her life after addiction.  A graduate of Pasco County’s Veterans Drug Treatment Court Samantha has now become the Operations Coordinator of the organization that helped save her, Warrior Wellness. Samantha will tell us about the wide variety of free services Warrior Wellness offers to combat veterans, active duty service members and military spouses. It is an organization of veterans helping veterans as 85% of the staff are combat veterans. Come hear this wonderful story of survival and, ultimately, triumph at 9AM in the GlenLakes ballroom.

Healing unseen wounds through the comradery involved in the playing of golf is the goal of the Fairways For Warriors organization. Tampa Chapter Director, Jay Ellis, will share with us the mission of FFW, that is, to help combat wounded veterans of any era and to reduce the number of suicides in that population.  Jay Ellis has much to say about FFW for he is an Iraq War veteran, USAF retired, who sustained severe injuries from a roadside blast. Today, not only is Jay playing golf, but he is also a basketball coach and an actor.  Come share an hour with Jay at 9AM at the GlenLakes clubhouse.
