On Friday, July 3, 2026, at 8PM, Dick Rowland and Linn Craton hoisted our new memorial flag while Curt Reilly spoke… “Today we gather for a moment that is both solemn and celebratory: the dedication of this flagpole in honor of the 250th anniversary of our great nation, the United States of America. At every step of the way, stands the American flag. This flag has flown over a nation that began as an audacious experiment — thirteen colonies daring to claim liberty in a world ruled by empires. It has flown over battlefields where ordinary men and women did extraordinary things. It has flown over ships at sea, over dusty outposts, over farms and factories, over schools and courthouses, over the quiet front porches of families waiting for loved ones to come home. Some did not. And now, it will fly here—on this new pole we dedicate today—reminding all who pass by that freedom is not an inheritance; it is a responsibility.”
