One of our GLVFA grant recipients this year was the Veterans’ HEAT Factory (VHF). As a veteran-friendly 501(3)(c) organization that is focused on helping veterans with their PTSD here in the local Springhill FL area, they are conducting a fund-raising event that will financially aid their mission to continue helping to heal local area Veterans and First Responders who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress.
On July 8th, 2024, at 7pm, the show at the FW Springstead HS Theater, Tommy Mara Center for the Arts located at 3300 Mariner Blvd Spring Hill, FL 34609-2799) will be a fabulous evening of entertainment, chances to bid on Silent Auction items, presentation of lifetime achievement awards presented to U.S. Congressman Gus Bilirakis, a champion of veterans; Diane Scotland-Coogan, a volunteer counselor for our heroes with Post Traumatic Stress; and Miriam Putnam, a dedicated supporter. Don't miss out on this special event celebrating our veterans and first responders. The event will feature entertainment by a Peter Frampton Tribute singer, the Chapters Network All Star Band, and local talent.

The membership enjoyed a presentation from Nicole Troche of our Hernando County EMS. They presented Basic First Aid and CPR (not to certify) in order to make members aware of just how easy CPR can be applied. They also talked about and explained the AED we have in the Clubhouse.
