​Robert Dunn, president of the Hernando County Crime Stoppers, discussed how this their community-based non-profit program is designed to bring citizens, law enforcement, and the media closer together in an effort to combat crime and make the community a safer place to live. Hernando County Crime Stoppers acts as a clearinghouse for information and encourages people who know about crimes or about people who have committed crimes to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line.

The Sep 1 2022 meeting also reviewed the status of the Memorial Wall project, the SAVES program, as well as several status briefings were given regarding aspects of the upcoming annual GLVFA golf event (open slots for golfing groups, carts, and volunteers needed, and status of the auction/raffle and 50-50).
